On Thursday, we arrived at school at 11am. This was because we were staying until 7.30pm to take part in night school!
Night school was awesome.
First of all, we did group rotations. We made Vokis with the year ones that tell you a fact about space. We also did some art and craft activities, making planet mobiles and the night sky.
Next, we went to the planetarium. We had to crawl through a long dark tunnel, into the planetarium. Paul showed us how the earth moves and how this creates night and day. He also showed us lots of star constellations. Our favourite was the Scorpian, with the red star Antares at it's heart.
Finally, we also got to go down to the oval in the dark and look through telescopes with the parents. We saw Jupiter!!

What a great project. These are the days the students remember most. I remember when I was in elementary school we met after dark to look through a telescope. It was a memorable experience.

night school was awesome because we went in a bubble and we saw stars,earth and a few planets.
